As the ultimate side project, my husband and I built Casa Xixim from the ground up. My role has been to spearhead everything from naming, identity, website and marketing collateral to art directing our interior design aesthetic, sewing up-cycled beach totes, finding our locally made eco-friendly soaps and shampoos, and even hand painting our sign.
Ever since our first visit to Soliman Bay we have been dreaming about building this home. All told it’s been close to 10 years in the making and we’ve met some wonderful people along the way. We are grateful for what had started out in 2004 as mere sketches in the sand has now blossomed into an amazing eco-conscious beachfront home and retreat.
